About Us

Aramco Brat Media produces feature films promoting fresh relationships and understanding between Westerners and Saudi Arabs.  We have seen in our history many times when a nationality or a race has been singled out and unfairly treated, such as those guiltless Japanese-Americans who were removed from society and put into American detainment camps after World War II and it is all too often, such as with the Patriot Act, that an environment is created by those who profit from war, when the acts of a few are touted as the feelings of many, in which we all suffer a loss of our liberties.  It is no accident that the Arab is now being portrayed as something less than human via misinformation and misdirection such as in the soon to be released Hollywood Blockbuster movie, The Kingdom, about a fictional terrorist act on US expatriates in Saudi Arabia.  When we allow those who profit from this activity to take away the liberties of both Americans and Saudis alike we are all in danger.

We at Aramco Brat Media, being Westerners who have lived in Saudi Arabia, feel it is our responsibility to protect American-Saudi relations by documenting and revealing the true-to-life cross-cultural relationships existing between Saudis and Americans that go unreported by the media.  HOME -The Aramco Brats’ Story is the first film of a series that reveals these relationships. The next, with working titles, will be: A Friend of a Friend is my Friend, the flip side of the coin to HOME, relating several Saudi Arabs interactions with Americans when they come to work or study in America - for Middle Eastern and US Television Networks; A Saudi Woman's Democracy - The Story of Ferial Masry's run for Office in the USA (as the subtitle says) for full release in USA and Saudi Arabia; A Saudi Aramco Story that takes us on the journey of some of the first Saudis to work for Aramco, who from humble beginnings came to positions of massive responsibility within present day Saudi Aramco, achieving the American Dream of prosperity based on hard work - for release to Aramco and Arabian networks; and Back to the Dunes which follows some “Aramco Brats” that return to Saudi Arabia to re-experience their home while their American friends, who have never left the USA, tag along and in the process come to reconsider their Saudi stereotypes – for release to USA and Middle East Networks.

Formed in August of 2005, Aramco Brat Media is made up of a group of industry professionals that bring a combined experience of over fifty five years in producing, directing and distribution of films. Its first film, HOME: The Aramco Brats' Story, is an exclusive glimpse into life within Saudi Arabia’s multinational expatriate community, Saudi Aramco, through the eyes of its children – the Aramco Brats and has just been released in association with Digipixel Studios.
